We're looking for an account executive (aka benefits consultant) for a boutique employee benefits brokerage in Scottsdale. Must enjoy working with large, self-funded groups (their sweet spot is 400-2000 lives). This is a place where you can get to the next level in knowledge! The Founder/Owner is one of the smartest benefits consultants in the business and while you’ll report to the Director of Account Management, the knowledge is shared!
They also have a Medical Director, Underwriters, and an on-staff Technology & Communications Director. You likely won’t find these positions at another broker of their size.
• Service a book around 15-18 cases. $700k to $1.2 mill in revenue.
• Don’t need to know all the details of self funding as the underwriters can help and teach that
• Need overall skills to manage the account.
• Client meetings without a producer (ultimately)
